​Hello.(-:  I’m Lizzie Cates.  I am currently 17 years young.  I come from a city that I thought nobody had heard of, but it turns out it is well known; the biggest little city in the world, Reno Nevada.  I am a native, born and raised in this little city.  I’ve created many memories here and have met some of the most incredible people.  I honestly consider myself lucky for the place I was able to live my childhood.  I have a very supportive family with an older sister who I look up to and a twin sister, who looks nothing like me, but is the sweetest, delicate person you can ever meet.  I grew up being attached to my grandma who brought country into my life.  I always remember listening and singing Alan Jackson and George Strait with her driving down the road.  She made a huge impact on my life but unfortunately was taken away by brain cancer and passed away in 2009. 
I started writing songs when I was five years old which made a magical life for me.  I taught myself how to play guitar when I was 13 after being the outcast in school.  Music was really the only way I could speak out to people.  It is very therapeutic for me.  I write about anything that comes to me.  A lot of people ask me why my favorite subject is love.  To answer that, I am only 17 and love holds my curiosity.  I don’t know why but I love to watch people fall in love and wonder how it can be taken away so instantly.  I’m an observer.  I become inspired by observing people and the way they think or react. 
Being born on February 26, 1995, I am a Pisces, which I guess means that I am imaginative, sensitive, compassionate, artistic, and sympathetic.  It also means that I am unfortunately confused and weak of will allowing me to be led astray.  I am a major helpless romantic and adore cute love stories. 
I love thunderstorms and kissing in the rain.  My favorite color is baby blue.  I love viewing life as nothing is handed to you.  You have to work at everything you do to earn what you want.  I play volleyball for four years.  I also played basketball in middle school.  I love old barns and brown eyes.  My lucky number is 12.  I play both 6 string and 12 string guitar.  I love soccer players.  I love learning from my mistakes and being happy with my life.  I released my first album ALIVE in January of 2011.  I sing to every song that comes on the radio.  I’m in love with my best friend but that is no secret.  I love you for reading this whole thing.
